The Iowa C.O.P.S. Shooting Team honors local fallen officers by attending several state and national shooting matches. Each team member competes in honor of all of Iowa’s fallen officers by showing their support for Iowa C.O.P.S. Additionally, each member of the 15 team members have a dedicated officer’s name on the back of their jersey to honor the 15 most recent officers killed in the line of duty in the state of Iowa. The Iowa C.O.P.S. Shooting Team wishes to recognize and honor the extraordinary contributions of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. The Shooting Team’s mission is to ensure these officers are never forgotten by raising awareness for Iowa C.O.P.S.

Relay Iowa is the largest running relay race in the world. Relay Iowa covers 339 miles across Iowa from Sioux City to Dubuque. Relay Iowa will take place on June 7th, 8th, and 9th in 2019. On June 7th relay runners will start their 339 mile run and the relay team will continuously have a team member running during the course during the daytime and nighttime, sunshine or rain, and on pavement or dirt until the 339 miles are finished. Iowa C.O.P.S. is proud to sponsor a Relay Iowa team. This year 10 law enforcement runners will run in memory of 10 fallen law enforcement officers that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
